We're fans of our fans. Ray Loot, Brooklyn, NY is definitely a local Celebratory whose hard work, consistency, talent and kindness has paid off. Working a full-time job and taking care of his family, has not stopped him from pursuing his dreams. Ray son is his assistant producer and a musical artist - talent runs in this family.
Check out the Red Carpet Interview from the April 2021 Film Festival where I had the pleasure of interviewing Ray who has and is, a great supporter of our Film Festival. Ray's the guy you call up and say, "can you, will you?" and as busy as he is, he makes the time.
We first met Ray's work in the October 2019 Film Festival, 2 Wrongz, a shocking Episodic series which we're still talking about. Ray is also well known for the hit series: Foster Sin, housed on Tubi and he's working the series Roommates and on a Black Vampire Series - In Vein.
Where he finds the time to write, direct and edit is a secret only Ray knows, but there is no doubt that he epitomizes the words, "multi-talented" and "determined". His imagination is a force to be reckoned with. We really want to drive the point home that Ray is a "Doer" regardless of what else may be going on - he meets his deadlines. We can also assume that his wife is a major reason why and you can't help but admire a couple that works together and fully supports one another. Applause for Mrs. Luther.
We expect that "In Vein" will be in either the October 2021 or February 2022 Film Festivals (or both) and we can't wait to have him on the next Filmmakers Panel again and interview him Red Carpet Style. Ray and filmmaker Dwayne Parker bring gifts and we love to wear their Movie Titles.
Another credit to Ray's giving spirit is the number of actors/actresses he hires for each series, many of whom then receive offers from other production companies, but still answer when Ray calls about the latest project. Humble spirits beget humble spirits and the only way to get a lot of things done is to: find your tribe and stick with them.
Ray has a natural ability to create a family type feel with his cast and crew and the desire to help others live their dreams as well - intentions are very important when building your dream or business. Ray is a rare talent and a reminder of what true collaboration and unselfish behaviors look like no matter what you're doing and where you are. Treat people well and they come back, help others also live their Dreams and they should never forget you. Ray is an excellent role model and an amazing filmmaker.
I'm still hoping that his next series will involve gangsters with honor who pinstripe and high heels - that's a role that's on my bucket list.
