Lot's of fun finding the old video's from live performances and interviews.
Before the Pandemic, Mook Diamond, Hood Royalty Comedy, held Tuesday Comedy Night at Cafe Regal in Cambria Heights, Queens, NY. Mook is still going strong holding Comedy Nights in Long Island, etc.
But that Tuesday was special and I had the opportunity to interview Mook, Toni Byrd and AG White. Both comedians had us in tears with their interactive performances. That night though, a young lady walked in with her entourage announcing herself as she entered the show late and in the middle of AG's set. Well needless to say, I bet she won't ever do that again as nothing was off limits from her Coliseum weave to the Jamaica Ave. fake fur. When I say he "went in", trust and believe, someone was humbled that day and the audience had the opportunity to learn how much AG is enmeshed in black culture, accents, nuances, prices and names of stores.
What I appreciate about him is, if you listen closely, you can tell he's well educated, experienced and not a diva. \
Mook Diamond, the promoter is also a down to earth local business man.
With all of this comedic talent around, I still can't figure out why none have submitted a routine to the Film Festivals?
Picture taken at Hall Of Fame Studios at the next event by another promoter.
