We're so looking for local Fashion Designers to bring you. Thank goodness that people love to post on Facebook and look at what we found - a hat designer - whose friend, Nona wrote the following about Xenbobia:
" Xenobia Bailey is an American fine artist, designer, Supernaturalist, cultural activist and fiber artist, from Washington State. She is well known for her eclectic crochet African-inspired hats & her large scale crochet pieces and mandalas. She has an art installation, based on her crochet and needlecraft designs, at the Hudson Yard - 34th street subway station #7-train, Manhattan.
We checked out her page, not to be "stalkerish", but to learn a little more and we found that she has been self-employed since 1986 and studied Industrial design at Pratt Institute. Originally from Seattle, Washington, she's been living in NY for a while.
We're waiting for a return call so that we can learn even more about her and share pictures pictures of her beautiful designs.
When you have a moment, look her up on Facebook and tell her that we referred you.
