In her own words, "There is no better way to kick off African-American Music Appreciation Month than by taking part in the Bartlett Foundation's concert series at Jamaica Performing Arts Center! Here is part of my rendition of "Greatest Love of All" that I performed this afternoon. Enjoy the rest of the concert series every Thursday this June!"

In our own words, "We are so  proud of all of the Talent that we have In Southeast, Queens. Our homegrown residents are also extremely multi-talented groundbreakers. Council Member Adams is the first Woman Council Member in District 28.….And the number of Jazz and Music Greats that we can boast about- is endless, from Fats Waller, Count Basie, James Brown, Milt Hinton, Miles Davis, Coltrane, Ella Fitzgerald and Lena Horne to modern day LL Cool J, Q-Tip, Run DMC & Nicki Minaj. If the Council Member wasn’t dedicating herself to ensuring our Community remains safe and viable, she’d be a renowned Concert Performer- for now- we’re extra excited whenever she is able to fit in a song or two in and grace us with her beautiful Welcome Addresses at the Queens Underground International Black and Brown Film Festivals.

We’ll be back at the Jamaica Performing Arts Center for the October 23, 2021 with our Red Carpet Film Festival and Annually!
